Overview
Data Stores are in-UI data tables that can be referenced for quick entry of related requirement fields, automatically populating data and increasing entry efficiency while reducing user entry errors.
Data Stores are available under Management> Data Stores and are sorted alphabetically by name.
How does a Data Store Work?
Data Stores can be used during the creation or editing of an Assessment Template.
When applied to a Requirement, Data Stores behave like a search field, finding the entered value in the listed column (just like searching a spreadsheet).
Further Requirement entry fields related to that located value will be automatically populated based on its related row contents.
How do you create a new Data Store?
Once Data Stores are enabled, they can be created/updated manually using Excel (.xlsx) files, or connected to an SFTP server or database via API.
API Data stores require Dev assistance. Please escalate all requests to connect a Data Store to an API (existing or new)
Via Excel:
The customer will need to create a spreadsheet document in .xlsx format.
This should contain the exact columns to be used on this Data Store. If they need to add a new column later, it will need to be as a new Data Store. You cannot update an existing Data Store with new columns.
Go to
Management > Data StoresClick Add Data Store
Enter the Data Store information:
a. Enter the Name of the Data Store
b. Choose “Auto-Generated Content” under Data Format
c. Select your initial Import Files.
Click Create
This will create a brand new Data Store using the columns listed in your file.
