What is an Asset?

An Asset is one of the foundational structures within Nulogy Quality & Compliance and represents your organizational structure. (The other two are Assessments and Users).

Assets can be viewed and managed in the Assets section of the side menu:

What is an ‘Asset’?

An asset can represent:

  • A physical location (e.g., a specific building, site, region)
  • A physical product or equipment (e.g., Press Machine 1)
  • An area within a factory or facility (e.g. Assembly Line A)
  • Departments within an organization (e.g. HR, Maintenance)
  • People themselves (e.g. an employee, a contractor, a customer)

What is the Asset Tree?

An Asset Tree is the visual representation of the relationships between your assets.
Assets are listed in a Parent-Child relationship structure within the Asset Tree.

  • Parent Assets may have multiple Child Assets.
  • Child Assets may also have multiple assets below them.

For Example

Here are five Assets within an Asset Tree:

  Canada
    Toronto
      Warehouse 1
    Vancouver
      Warehouse 1

Canada is a Parent Asset with the Child Assets, Toronto and Vancouver
Each Child Asset, Toronto and Vancouver, also have their own Child Asset.

Assets, along with users and assessment templates, make up the core functionality of the Nulogy Quality & Compliance portal. Once you have created your Assets, you can assign templates and users to them.

This connection between assets, templates and users allows you to define access.
